National Charity League

We do a booklet every year for a group called the National Charity League. It is some sort of community service organization for high school aged girls and their mothers. The intro says:
The goal of NCL is to foster a sense of community responsibility as well as to strengthen mother-daughter relationships as they participate in philanthropic work, cultural events
and educational activities.

Every year they have a banquet to honor the seniors. I love laying out the book! These are all families with money. "To whom much is given, much is required." How's that for a motto?

It is fascinating to read the biographies that each girl has on her page. Summer camps and private schools... it's just so interesting. To see how these girls, who live a couple dozen miles away from me, grew up in an entirely different culture than I did because they grew up with money.

It blows my mind a little.
