There Goes Kim... Chasing Rabbits Again: My First Shower

Oh my goodness! My shower was SO wonderful! I can not believe that I am so blessed to have so many amazing people in my life.

First of all, it was gorgeous. Jenina has the perfect house for parties. Her mom brought beautiful flower arrangements and the table was so nice! Mini quiche... what is it about making it mini that makes it so wonderful?! I think you get more crust per bite when it is bite sized. Good stuff! And Aubrie is a genius because the pigs in the blanket were the perfect touch. There was tons of yummy food and everyone really enjoyed it!

Jenina had a really neat idea. Instead of playing a shower game, which is always risky when you have a mixed crowd, she had everyone fill out a card with marriage advice on it for me. As I opened gifts, the person who gave me the gift would read me the advice. There were lots of sweet moments, several giggles, and a little blushing from my newly married friend, Kelly, who didn't realize we would be reading the cards out loud.

It was wonderful! We were given so many lovely gifts! I can't wait to find places for all of them tomorrow. (We already hung the clock and washed the towels, and put paper towels on the paper towel holder. I needed that!
